This is my Hot Rod.
It was originally a marriage of a 1926-27 Model T (4 door) Touring Sedan
and a 1924-1925 Dodge Coupe from what I could tell. Nowadays, its a no
door touring. I restored it and have extensively remodified the radical
body. The body is channeled, sectioned and chopped. The body rests on top
of a 1935 Ford frame (modified). This whole setup rides on top of a 1928
dropped front axle and lowered rear suspension. See the build sheet for
all the other parts used in this Hot Rod.
Motor is a Ford 302
ci (5 litre), twin Holleys feeding gas through a Weiand tunnel ram
intake. Ford GT-40 aluminum heads and roller cam. Ignition is MSD. About
320 HP is trandferred via a 2800 stall speed converter into a C-4 automatic
tranny, muscled in all that old Detroit iron. This car is very lightweight
and will squawk the tires as it shifts through its 3 gears. As you can
probably tell, I only take it out on sunny, warm days.
Hot Rods, to me have
always meant "Good looks & minimal investment." Simplicity is never
dull.
